Tips To Stay Consistent With Exercise During The Holidays

Much like fitness, and anything really, gratitude is something that needs to be practiced. We should see the holiday season as a time to be grateful for our amazing and complex bodies. Sticking to a rigid workout and meal plan can cause us to feel anxiety and stress during a time when we should be happy to gather with loved ones.

Don't skip joy.

If your normal routine is shaken up by traveling, festivities and indulgent meals, it’s okay. There’s no such thing as a perfect way to get through the holidays. During this time, your emotional and mental well-being should be just as, if not, more important than your physical. Aim for good weeks, not perfect days. Enjoy the progress you’ve made throughout the year so far. You’ve set yourself up for success the whole year leading up to this time. Allow yourself to ebb and flow with the course of life. Your happiness does not hinge on how many reps you get in before you eat some turkey.
